This book is a guide - an overview of the Pomeranian breed and overview of training and caring for your Pom. Larger text makes the book an easy read (64 pages total) and art magazine-quality paper makes the soft-cover book a bit more substantial than a paperback.

It was rather disappointing to note many of the full-color pictures are the same images, reversed and/or cropped differently that are in another book, A New Owners Guide to Pomeranians, by the same publisher.

For the price ($7.95 at time of this writing), this book is a great introduction to selecting and caring for a pet Pomeranian and the book will appeal to even young family members.

This small hardcover book is a more detailed guide to caring for a Pomeranian. The book covers all the basics from selecting a Pom to behavioral problems and is written in an easy to read style. The author, Julie Moreno, is a founding member of CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) and it is reassuring to read advice from an expert.

Impressive length of the title. Not so sure the title needed to be so long even though all those topics are covered in this easy to read, soft-cover book. The author has packed a wide variety of information into this conveniently sized, 98 page book.

The section on training your Pomeranian was especially helpful and I felt it offered a bit more insight into the actual procedures for training a Pomeranian.

This book was a delight for me to read. Along with helpful tips and content by the author, there are numerous "short stories" of specific Poms and their interaction with people and/or accomplishments. The smaller stories or articles are separated out from regular page content so you're able to continue reading then refer to the separate article.

The book includes information on companion dogs, obedience, agility and even flyball and freestyle - two new (to me) performance activities that sound like a tremendous amount of fun.

The hardcover book is 128 pages, has quality full-color photographs in both family and show settings and with a price below $11.00 is nice to have as a reference.

A successful breed program requires an in-depth understanding of canine health, genetics, reproductive systems and processes, and brood maintenance. This 178 page book is a good introduction to each of those topics and is complimented with full-color photographs and detailed line drawings.

While not specific to Pomeranians, anyone considering breeding should have this book as a reference. Under $9.00.
